La Maddalena’s Music Stage, located near the Admiralty, is a historic meeting and entertainment point for the island’s community. It has hosted many musical events over the decades and has become a symbol of La Maddalena’s social life, providing an atmospheric space for performances and events, with views of the harbour and the charm of the surrounding architecture.

Work Description
The project concerns the restoration and safeguarding of the Music Stage in the Municipality of La Maddalena. The Music Stage is a late 19th/early 20th century artefact. It is located in the north-eastern part of Piazza Umberto I, in the centre of the semi-ellipse formed by the buildings of the tourist port. It is inserted in a small enclave, now partially delimited by a railing, originally ellipsoidal in shape, but modified over the years, both in altimetry and in planimetry.
The project focused on providing an immediate response to the problem of securing the artefact, with the addition of those ‘subtractions’ and replacements that restoration would allow, and the restoration and consolidation of the elements still in place.
